One link or the whole chain?
For years the SMIALA terminal in Chorula has been receiving 20’ and 40’ containers of polymer pellets and transferring the material from big-bags, 25 kg sacks and octabins into silo trailers — no pneumatics, through a screen, every lot weighed. That is the terminal stage. Many importers, however, ask for more: who collects the container at the port, where does the material wait for production, and who delivers the silo trailer to the consignee?
The answer is the PHS Magnum group service Port-to-Plant — one contract for the entire chain:
- Container pick-up in Gdańsk, Gdynia or Szczecin — with trusted, long-standing transport partners.
- Devanning, warehousing and bulk transfer — here, at the SMIALA terminal: 3.5 t and 5 t forklifts, a covered dry warehouse for up to 2,000 big-bags, FIFO, cross-docking, 24/7 CCTV, gravity transfer through a screen, delivery note and ISO 9001:2015 protocol.
- Silo trailer delivery to a plant in Poland or the EU — the PHS Magnum fleet: 26 DAF XF Euro 6 tractors, 31 silo trailers of 55–65 m³, up to 25 t payload.
What the terminal does in this model
- Container devanning of palletised sacks, big-bags or octabins; every unit and the seal number are recorded.
- A warehouse buffer that reconciles vessel schedules with production rhythm — e.g. containers arrive in batches while a silo trailer leaves every day, Monday to Friday.
- Transfer into the silo trailer: big-bags and octabins up to 200 t per day, one trailer (~25 t) in 2–4 hours; 25 kg sacks — manual gravity transfer with an individually agreed schedule.
- Video record from the opening of the container, through storage and transfer, to the sealing of the silo trailer — archived for claims.
Details of the individual stages are on the terminal pages: transloading , warehousing , repackaging , import from Asia and container to silo trailer .
Who it is for
Importers and distributors of PE, PP, PVC, ABS, PET, PS, PC and PA pellets, regranulates and recycled compounds who want to sell containerised material in bulk, delivered by silo trailer, without their own warehouse in Poland.
